Dear Villagers FC members, Diaz clients, surrounding residents who are dog owners & dog walkers.
We appreciate that you use the fields and that your pets enjoy running around in a safe space.
Our field is also the home of Diaz Tavern and the outside play area that is used by young children.
We also have the Grassroots Prep school on the Villagers FC premises.
If you would like to continue to walk your dogs on the back field, the following rules must please be adhered to:
Owners must pick up after their dogs. The fields are used for sports and by young children. Not picking up after your dog is disrespectful to the other people that use the fields.
Off-leash walking is allowed ONLY if your dog has excellent recall.
If you see another dog that is on leash, or a young child, please put your dog back on leash so they can greet each other in a controlled and friendly manner.
Do not allow your dogs to run/“rush” at other dogs or children.
Your dog might just want to ‘play’ or is ‘friendly’ – but consideration for other pets & most especially the children that play on the field is extremely important.
It is YOUR responsibility to make sure your dogs behave in a courteous and friendly manner.
Lastly – please consider paying your subs to Villagers FC.
The contribution is only R600 for the calendar year & in return you get 10% off at Diaz Tavern.
This contribution helps the Club continue to maintain the fields and club infrastructure.
