There is a new President in Town.

Massive congratulations to Piet Geldenhuys for been voted in as the new Villager Football Club President!

We are looking forward to having such an incredible Villager man at the helm.

Piet joined Villager Football Club in 1971 after matriculating from J.G. Meiring in Goodwood. Played for the U20 team for 3 years, defeating Maties in the Final at Coetzenberg to be crowned champions. He represented WP u20 for three years and also captained the side on a number or occasions. In 1973 he was selected for VFC 1st team, that year they beat Maties in the final of the Grand Challenge at Newlands Stadium! Piet has 14 WP Caps to his name and in 1981 was included in the extended Sprinkbok Trials squad. Unfortunately he was forced in 1982 to hang up the boots due to recurring ankle and knee injuries. His coaching career started with the VFC U20 team moving on to First team assistant coach from 1987 to 1988. Appointed Villager Football Club 1st team Head Coach in 1989 he coached the side for 3 years
Piet finally graced the field for the Old Crocks, being the culmination of a fantastic Rugby career!

Piet’s three sons Ross, Duncan, and Graham, have all played for VFC. Ross continuing on to win the Super Rugby Cup with the Highlanders.
